A HEADS UP FOR APPLE TIME CAPSULE USERS:

Apple has announced that AFP (Apple Filing Protocol) support is being removed in macOS 27.
Why does that matter?
AFP is the legacy file-sharing technology that Apple Time Capsules were originally built around. While this doesn't mean every Time Capsule will instantly stop working, it does mean that long-term compatibility is becoming less certain as newer versions of macOS move away from older technologies.
If you're still using a Time Capsule for Time Machine backups, now is a good time to start thinking about your future backup strategy and make sure your current backups are healthy.
We still love these old Apple products. In fact, we keep several vintage Apple devices around the shop because they're an important part of Apple's history and still fun to tinker with.
Anyone still running a Time Capsule in 2026?
